Hi Everyone...Happy 2013! I hope this year is full of happiness and health for you and your family. Last year I shared my "one little word" and I sort of struggled to come up with what I wanted for 2012. This year, however, I knew exactly what word I planned to choose--SHINE! It's going to be the word I think about when I am reacting to an unpleasant situation (shine through it), it's what I want my projects to do (shine above the rest, and no....I won't be covering everything in Stickles), I want my face to shine (as in a smile, not as in "need more powder", LOL)....you get the idea, I need a much more shiny, sunny outlook....so my word for 2013 will be SHINE!
To kick of 2013's paper crafting projects, I have a super duper cute Valentine's Day card to share with you. It features In Love Emma stamps by SP&Company:
A few days ago, I stamped a line up of these darling little ladies on a piece of Copic XPress It Paper (my favorite for Copic coloring!). I decided when coloring them that each lovely lady would have a different color of hair. Today you get to see my brunette chickie! I colored her with my Copics, and stamped the package on another piece of patterned paper and fussy cut it. It's adhered with a dimensional dot so it really looks like a present! The doily behind her was something I picked up at Hobby Lobby a couple of years ago. I decided my cards needed more interest and that doilies would be fun. I took some CatEye ink and rubbed it all over the paper doily. The patterned paper is by Echo Park, and I got it as part of my SP&Company kit one month. The sentiment is also from the same stamp set.
I love how this card turned out. It has the layout that I use in a lot of cards, but it's just such a sweet, happy little card.
I know a lot of people make resolutions this time of year. I only have one resolution and it's bike related. I'd like to log 1000 miles with my local bike club this year. That's going to be a challenge, but I think I can do it. I rode that much (plus some) last year, but not all of my miles could count toward the club. This will be a good thing for me to strive for.
Crafty-wise, though....I plan to still watch my spending. I will rely on my monthly subscription kit to SP&Company to fulfill my itch for new things.
I am super excited about my new DT spot with Dr. Phil Scraps. I am so hopeful that I create projects that inspire his readers to use their awesome CTMH products to their fullest.
I hope to stay consistently on 1-2 design teams. I enjoy being a part of a team and the camaraderie that comes with working together in a creative environment.
I also want to scrapbook more in 2013. I have made a few pages recently that will be shared soon....and I realized how much I missed making layouts.
That will keep me busy in 2013, no?
Oh, and I'd love to hit 300 followers early in 2013. Will you help me by hitting that tiny little "follow" button?
Again, Happy 2013--may this year be a good one for you!
